Loose

Have you seen this commercial:

So hysterical. I envision that most people find that the clothes their mom wears are probably not what they would want to wear. Luckily, my mom is an okay dresser. She and I do not agree on everything, but she would never ask me to wear "loose" jeans that she kept in a bin forever. She likes to buy clothes (like I do) and then not wear them and give them to me. She'll buy things that are too young, or buy them for a present, not remember where she put them, and have to give them to me at a later time. I was donating some things to the Salvation Army this weekend, and I thought to myself: I should give this to mom, the tags are still on it. Then it dawned on me, oh, she gave it to me.

I can not wait for Thanksgiving to see what might be in store for me to bring back that won't cost me a dime.

Still sick, no gym for me until I get better. It is all stuck in my chest. Ugh, I don't wish this cold upon anyone. Well there's maybe one person, but I don't like to name names.

I've Been Working on This

I think that I could have come up with more stuff.
I really don't even know what I want.
I usually just want clothes.
None too specific.
Happy Sunday!

Top Reasons Why I Love Fall

Fall is always my favorite season.
Its usually not super cold, but you can cuddle up and get comfy without overheating.
And these reasons always make it better:

I get to see these people more often:
Thanksgiving AND Christmas

I like wearing sweaters.
I like wearing cardigans.
They are so comfy.
They're my favorite.

Football.
Chargers football to be exact.
Now if only they could get their act together.

Apples.
Any kind.
They always taste better in fall.
I also like apple cider and apple pie.
I like the scent of apple as an air freshener.
It smells warm and fall-like.

And last, but not least.
Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Yum.
I've only had one this fall, but I am already planning for one when I go visit my family after Thanksgiving.

My reasons for loving fall.
I am sure that I have more, but these are my tops for now.
Happy Tuesday.

Sunshine Saturday

I'm excited that my hair is finally growing and will soon (okay maybe by my birthday or shortly thereafter) look like hers. Oh, and I'm hoping to win myself some tickets to her concert.

Recipe available from link as well.
Fall = pumpkin everything.
I bought a new pumpkin candle.
I am holding out for a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but I'm looking for pumpkin flavored coffee.
Mmm, that pumpkin and cream cheese pie looks divine.

I love the look of all those mirrors together.
I want to do this in my apartment.
Chris doesn't understand mirrors that you don't use to look at yourself in.

Flare jeans.
My absolute fave!
Much more flattering than skinny jeans, on me at least.
I have the pair on the left in dark denim and black.
I'm excited to bust them out.

This song.
I'm just like my mom.
We hold our purses the same.
We look the same.
We walk the same.
We like the same things.

Things That Make Me Smile

Even though Mondays (especially when C has to be at work at 5 AM) generally suck. I'm going to be an optimist and show you things that make me smile.

And maybe some of them got me through this Monday:

{one}

Really, what would I do without my coffee?
I don't know. But I am turning into my mom.
I can not function without coffee in my system.
Awesome.

{two}

The fact that this guy FINALLY has another book out.
I hope the library has it.
Or I could buy it for my collection.
Hmm...

{three}

I would really like this shirt.
I love the play on the "potty mouth" of BS.
And I love Blake Shelton.
I'd be upset that he's married, except that he's married to my favorite lady: Miranda Lambert.
Have I ever mentioned their photo is my computer's desktop?
Okay, you can be officially freaked out.

{four}
This music video:

This song.
I LOVE IT.
Its so smiley and happy.

{five}

The fact that even though I didn't work out today, I ate pretty well and don't feel too badly about any of my choices.

Smiles and high fives all around.
Happy Monday!

Little Bits of Lovely

These are a few lovely things that I wish my budget would allow for... Thanks Anthropologie for making me jealous of all those who can afford such luxury as to purchasing these skirts and dresses.

Not only would I love to own these, but can you imagine if my whole wardrobe was new with that vintage silhouette? Do not get me wrong, I love that vintage-y feel and look, but I never can pull it off. I feel as though I am playing dress up, rather than actually dressing. I do not want a beehive hair do, I want my modern waves aka mess on top o' my head, with the old school clothes.

I think I might go thrifting tomorrow. You never know what kind of gem I might find. I like things classy and old, yet comfy and warm, and calm and relaxed. Oh yes, I am a mixed bag o' fun. I actually just told Chris that someday, when we have a house, that I want all the rooms to have a theme. Example:
Bedroom = Beach
Living Room = Cabin
Kitchen = Diner
Dining Room = Fancy Restaurant
Bathroom = 1950's powder room

Ok, I assume he would never go for it, but a girl can dream right?
